After a decade of non-stop touring with various bands, I had an urge to start a new chapter of my life. I didn't know what that was, I just knew the rock & roll lifestyle wasn't sustainable for me. I thought maybe I could transition into photography and (naively) pitched the idea of a photobook to one of my favorite publishers, Picturebox. They bit and, in 2007, released a book of stories and polaroids from my years on the road. It remains a beautiful document of a time before Instagram and Urban Outfitters and while it didn't launch my photography career it did allow me a foot into the door of advertising (which defined the next decade of my life).
